Weekly garbage pickup is every Monday morning. If a holiday falls on a Monday, trash will be picked up on Tuesday. Fayette Waste is closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Christmas.
Trash must be placed at the curb on Sunday after 5:00pm.
There is a limit of 10 bags per household, and all trash must be securely bagged.
Bulk pickup is scheduled for the first Monday of every month. One bulk item can be placed at the curb for pickup the first Monday of the month. Examples of bulk items are furniture, appliances, children’s toys, etc.
Additional bulk items can be scheduled for pickup by calling 724-430-0100. This must be scheduled prior to placing the items out for pickup.
Grass clippings and cat litter must be properly bagged or placed in containers that can safely manage the weight and allow for efficient lifting.
Tree branches and hedge trimmings must be cut into sections no longer than 4 feet and must be securely bundled.
Unacceptable items for pickup are: hazardous waste, special waste, oil, paint, car batteries, lithium batteries, all electronics, TV’s, building material, etc.
There is an electronic dumpster at the Borough’s Public Works garage for residents who have electronics and televisions to dispose of. This dumpster is for residents only. Nonresidents who use the dumpster will be fined.
