Beginning Monday, March 2nd Fayette Waste will begin as the official trash collector for Glassport. The only change in service will be the billing total at $55.20 per quarter. Pickup will still be Mondays Please have your trash to the curb Sunday evening as Fayette Waste may arrive earlier than our previous hauler.
Glassport has entered int contract with Fayette Waste for residential pickup. There is nothing residents need to do during this transition from Waste Management to Fayette Waste. The billing will stay the same through TCVCOG. Starting the 2nd quarter of 2026 billing rates will change from $83.13 per quarter to $55.20 per quarter.

Sidewalk Safety Reminder All residential, retail, and commercial property owners are required to ensure that sidewalks and walkways adjacent to their properties are cleared within a reasonable amount of time. Property owners may be cited if this responsibility is not met. Glassport has a high volume of foot traffic, so please be courteous and do your part to keep sidewalks safe and passable. If someone slips and falls due to uncleared walkways, property owners may be held liable. When removing snow, please use caution and take breaks as needed—especially for older residents. Whenever possible, park vehicles in driveways to allow snow plows to fully clear the streets. Thank you for helping keep our borough safe.
Pa American Water Company will be going door to door soon. The goal is to inspect all of the service lines in the Borough. The service line is the pipe that connects your home to the water main in the street. This is to determine what material your service line is made of. You can schedule an appointment by calling 717-581-8599 or visit calendly.com/leadfreePA. CDM Smith will be canvassing the area for PAWC. They will have hi-visibility vests, hard hat or cap and a Pa American Water Contractor ID badge. If it is determined that your service line is made of lead, PAWC would like to replace it at no direct cost to the homeowner. This work is scheduled to start Sept 15th .
A soliciting permit was just issued through the Glassport Police Department for door to door solicitation on behalf of Trinity Solar. This does not mean you must open your door should someone knock. This just means that the Borough has given permission for this individual to solicit.
